Is Corner Bistro burger the most popular burger in LIC?
28 Feb
According to foodie blog Serious Eats, Corner Bistro’s burger is a pretty good burger.
At their best—which in my opinion is a freshly broiled patty cooked rare—I liken Bistro Burgers to filet mignon. It isn’t abundantly flavorful (in fact the Bistro burger isn’t even seasoned), but it’s is tender and juicy and comforting.
A previous review tries to explain why it’s so popular, but with numerous restaurants in LIC offering their version of the classic american fair, it’s hard to say who makes the best (and most popular) burger in LIC.
Our question: Who do you think makes the best burgers in LIC?

Cranky’s
Duh. Burger Garage, by far. But they’re not open late or on Sundays, so then I’d go with Petey’s Burger.
RIP McReilly’s burgers.
Well, apparently, u don’t know what is a god burger!
alobar
I don’t know what Corner Bistro claims to use to make their burgers, but considering that I had little bone flecks in the one burger I’ve had there, I’d say they use the same vendor as Taco Bell. And they are completely bland, much like the rest of their menu.
That said… Petey Burger is DAMN GOOD.
I am sure you don’t either
Nobody tried M wells burger ??? A lots rich people who hate low income buildings in HPS but have the taste like poor people !! Burger garage or Petey’s? Baby u can keep it!
Alobar’s burger is probably best but it’s a $15 dollar burger vs. Corner Bistro at $8. For the money Corner Bistro is the best.
I’m sorry but Petey’s Burgers are a greasy mess and are closer to a fast food burger.
i agree about the price C but i don’t think price should be a criteria for a “great burger”. it should be a criteria for a good deal but you do get what you pay for
This has GOT to be a joke. Corner Bistro’s burgers have no flavor. I can’t believe they make enough money to expand. When I’m eating a burger, I know I’m eating food that’s not the best for me. What a WASTE of calories if you’re eating Corner Bistro. If you want a good burger..and I mean a freakin good burger, then you go to LIC Market. Alo Bar’s is good too, just don’t order the fried bacon on top, it does absolutely nothing to burger except add on a few bucks. Someone told me that Cafe Henri’s burger is good too. Anyone out there know of this too? I can’t imagine a French restaurant serving a good burger.
Popular, maybe, but it’s no In-And-Out Burger…
And there it is, didn’t take long for someone to mention In N Out Burger. Even though it has nothing to do with burgers in LIC, ddd brought it up anyway.
I’ll be the one to add how overrate In-And-Out is.
Actually, it kind of has to do with LIC, since Petey’s claims to be the East Coast version of In-N-Out (though, pales in comparison).
LIC Market gets my vote for best burger, hands down.
Corner Bistro’s draft beer is flat. And warm. Bleah.
Really massive burger at the Crabhouse.
a shake shack LIC would be nice.
Corner – Burgers are a sloppy mess without any taste
Alewife – Their burger was good when it opened but now it’s no better than a diner burger. It’s too inconsistent. I guarantee if you go there 3 times it will taste differently and probably have a different bun each time.
Petey’s – Good if you’re looking for the fast food thing
I would suggest trying the burger at Cafe Henri. By far the best in LIC.
used to like m wells burger… does the dinette have one?
I hate hipsters too much to even try the Dinette.
That’s your lost! And please get out my hood since ite very hipster now
Please barely any hipsters in LIC, except when PS1′s Warm-Up is in session.
There are about 3 hipsters in the greater LIC area.
Burger Garage!
hello… LIC Market makes a mean burger. Caramelized onions… yum.
I’m glad to have Corner Bistro in the neighborhood but, other than the price, I don’t think the burgers are anything special. I had forgotten about the burger at LIC Market, but indeed, it is the best I’ve had in the neighborhood.
1. The burger at LIC MARKET – heaven
2. The Turkey Burger at The Burger Garage – super good and healthy
3. Alobar’s Burger – Yum
4. Dominie’s Hoek Burgers ( both Beef and Turkey ) – always reliable
5. Sage General Store – very underrated and so delish
In many countries, food laws define specific categories of ground beef and what they can contain. For example, in the United States, beef fat may be added to hamburger, but not to ground beef if the meat is ground and packaged at a USDA-inspected plant.’
