No gas in Long Island City!

1 Nov

The BP on Jackson Ave. and 21st St. says it all.

From no transportation to no electricity…our next crisis happens to be the lack of gas at gas stations throughout the city. A recent check on these pumps throughout Long Island City reveals that indeed there is no gas. In fact, more than half of NYC and NJ service stations are down.

A quick drive over to Greenpoint turned out to be not-so-quick, as traffic on Mc Guinness Blvd. is crawling. This is all due to perhaps the only gas station that’s open on Greenpoint Ave and Jewel St. with a line that literally goes around the block (photo below).

For now, we are reliant on an extremely limited transportation system and whatever is left in our tanks.

The only gas station in Greenpoint will have you waiting in line for hours.

The Getty on 11th Street and 47th Rd. is closed…unless you want candy.

All gas pumps on Mc Guinness Blvd. are bone dry.

Do you know of a gas station that has gas? Let us know below!

The governor just announced that NY harbor and the ports are re-opened to ships. That means tankers can come in. Should fix the gas problem within a day or two.

Any updates? Shell is still dry. Anyone know about the BP or anywhere else we can get gas?
