We’ve just gotten word that the traffic lights at the Pulaski Bridge intersection in Long Island City are not working. We ask you to drive carefully as this is one of the craziest traffic intersections in LIC.

Craig Chu reports: “The lights at the base of the Pulaski are out, but people are still driving like idiots, as one would expect, but with more honking now.”

Oh boy…

It is a mess (my apartment overlooks this intersection). The lights went out during the storm with that tree that fell on the corner. I reported it to 311, they told me to call ConEd, I decided to go do something more productive! I’m sure they’ll get around to fixing it in due time. In the meantime, I hope no one dies.

The traffic light is back up. Shocked it happened so quickly. Some of the lights are twisted, from the wind, though, so some of them are facing the wrong lanes. Still, better than nothing. I think people are figuring it out.
