Recycle your electronics in LIC

21 Oct

If you’re like me, you probably have a pile of unusable electronics stashed in a closet somewhere in your home. You may have spent a good fortune buying some of the items (like 20 years ago?) and have no idea what to do with that CRT monitor.

Fortunately, the Lower East Side Ecology Center is organizing an Electronic Waste Recycling Day here in Long Island City where you can drop off your electronics (rather than disposing them, and their poisonous innards, in our landfills).

If there is one thing you should do for the environment this year, it’s this. So please mark it on your calendar!

October 28th from 10am-4pm at Hunters Point Wine & Spirit.

    We have a non-working
    Xerox XD100 copier/printer
    + extra brand new toner
    to give away.

    Xerox WorkCentre XD100

Black and white copy machine and computer printer.

Comes with one unopened toner cartridge in sealed box.

    Plus one in machine.

    It has stopped working.
Why I don’t know, but I have no patience for this.
I have link to service manual.

When working it did a wonderful job on photos.
I bought it new after photographers had recommenced it.

Drum has a lot of life left.

Won’t haul from 41 Avenue however.
Will put on FreeCycle in a few minutes
If you want to, just take the toner[s] and drum and leave machine behind.

We are a group of volunteers and opening a new scheme in our community.
Your website provided us with useful information to work on.

You’ve performed an impressive process and our whole group might be thankful to you.

First off I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I’ve had
difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there.
I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
    Any ideas or hints? Cheers!
