LIC Strip Club insists on liquor license…no surprise!
11 Oct
Well, once again, the new all-nude strip club, Show Palace, located underneath the Queensboro Bridge (we are still not calling it the Ed Koch Bridge) is in search of a liquor license.
As you may remember they’ve tried numerous times to petition for one, but were denied by the Community Board and the State Liquor Authority. The hearing is scheduled for October 24th.
So let’s ask our readers, what do you think? Should they get their license? Go ahead and check out our “Quick Poll” and let us know!

Whilst i have no interest in these places, I find it to understand how a community that can allow people to buy firearms, and glorify their use in film, tv and computer games can object to a naked human body.
Rather then that business, we are much more concerned with the problem across the street from it.

it’s pretty embarrassing to have this place right off the bridge.
There is nothing glamorous about the Queensboro Bridge. Especially in that area. It’s a dark cold dump. Why not keep the strip club there? WHO CARES? Would you prefer it on Vernon Blvd? Oh wait, there already is one on Vernon. morons.
just give it to them over there. who cares?! that area is a dump. i prefer the hookers and pimps stay on that side of the bridge. the club on vernon is harmless folks. the company across the street would not tolerate any BS…
Imagine if hunters point had a grand archway entry at the base of the bridge akin to that of Sunnyside.
Something for the community to be proud of instead of a stripclub welcoming you to our neighborhood….
no liquor license for them; instead they should get lost.
I now totally avoid coming off that exit. it’s not good for my kids, inlaws or guests to see.
the establishment will make that area become scummy and keep people away.
