Starting last week (oops) Gantry State Park will host Live at the Gantries concerts every Tuesday, and we highly recommend checking out some of the bands. For example, this Tuesday (7/14) you’ll get to meet The Ebony Hillbillies who perform a mix of jazz, blues, bluegrass, rockabilly, rock and roll, and country.

Oh yeah, and they look like they’re ready to rock it:

Where exactly is this taking place at the park? Does anyone know? Great to see that we have free music concerts here.

Right in front of the Gantries (48th Ave and Center). You will see the tables and chairs set up for the event, plus a lot of people.

Would be nice to setup a skating rink in Gantry park for the winter.

Been saying that for years! Just like the one at Bryant Park.

We can’t even get a kiddie water sprinkler completed in three years. Even then it has a life guard and closs down randomly for 15 mins every hour. You boys are dreaming on an ice rink! In 5 to 10 years and with 5-10 ice wardens yelling at you for skating too fast!

How about a giant slip and slide for the summer? I want to see Van Bramer in tight red speedos slipping and sliding!
