Thai restaurant chain coming to LIC! [update]

1 Jul

The banner up on Vernon Boulevard.

If you’ve been looking for another Thai restaurant option instead of Tuk Tuk, you’re in luck luck (sorry, couldn’t resist). Spice Thai Restaurant is opening one of their chain restaurants on Vernon Boulevard (where the always empty Sushi Siam used to be) on the corner of 48th Ave.

I am personally a big fan of Spice (East Village) and have enjoyed their drunken noodles amongst other dishes. And we’d like to show you a sample of what their menu looks like, but unfortunately when you click on Spice’s official website you get a lovely pharmaceutical website pushing, what else? Viagra. Couldn’t get spicier than that!

What www.spicethainyc.com takes you to…yikes!

Update: The Spice website has been fixed. If you are still looking for some discounted Viagra, you’re out of luck!

I will miss Siam Sushi. Yes their interior was bad but their Sushi for take out and delivery was among the best!Sorry to see them go.

I always liked BANY better. Good sushi, awesome duck and the owner is super nice. Not too excited about Spice. I’ll remain loyal to Tuk Tuk – their whole red snapper is killer.

I too love Tuk Tuk…but when it’s a busy day, they take over an hour to deliver. It’s good to see that they get some relief. And Spice is actually really good. But honestly, it’s the same thing.

Quite often, when you deliver from Tuk Tuk, the guy is practically ringing your doorbell with the food before you hang up with them! Amazing! But just sometimes on rainy days when everyone is ordering, they get SO backed up. That’s all.

As for sushi, I love BANY. Excellent sushi..but they have Manhattan prices. And we are NOT in Manhattan.

BEWARE, my Avast firewall detects malware at that site, and Avast warned me to go no further.

Don’t worry Ray, if you need some blue pills, I can hook you up. What’s your number?

You’re funny Gary. I don’t think that’s what Ray meant. But it’s good to know that you happen to be Long Island City’s main supplier of Viagra.
