Fedex Ground is Moving to Long Island City

If you hated going to Maspeth to pick up your Fedex package after your third missed notice, you’re gonna love this piece of news! Fedex is moving to LIC by 2013. Apparently they were trying to move into Astoria’s waterfront but “faced stiff community opposition”. Hmmmm…I wonder why…

    I wonder if that means more traffic on Borden Ave. The Fresh Direct trucks can be a bit annoying sometimes. But I guess the benefit to all of this is that we don’t have to go too far to pick up our packages. At least for the ones in LIC that don’t have a doorman. lol

    FedEx Corp. acquired privately held Kinko’s Inc. in February 2004 and rebranded it FedEx Kinko’s. The acquisition was made to expand FedEx retail access to the general public. After the acquisition, all FedEx Kinko’s locations exclusively offered only FedEx shipping…
